LAUNDRY ATTENDANT (CASUAL)

About the College:

 

Founded in 1881, St Joseph’s is an independent Catholic boarding and day secondary school for boys, under the care of the Marist Brothers. In 2019, enrolment is approximately 1,100 boys from Years 7 to 12. 

 

About the role:

 

We are seeking to employ a casual laundry attendant to work during the school term periods ideally commencing as soon as possible.  Further employment may be offered during the non-term time, depending on the availability of work.

 

Work will generally be from Monday to Friday, hours of work will be negotiated upon interview. Some early morning starts will apply.

About you:

 

Previous experience would be desirable but not essential as comprehensive on the job training will be provided.  A current driver’s licence is required as the role may involve delivery duties from time to time.

 

This position may encounter hot temperatures due to ironing and pressing machines constantly being in operation. The suitable attendant will need to be able to work effectively in this environment.

 

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Customer service in providing friendly, courteous and consistent service to managers and others in team
  • Ability to take instructions
  • Compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines
  • Willingness and ability to work together with team members to help in the efficient and
    accurate operation of the production line.
