About the College:

 

Founded in 1881, St Joseph’s is an independent Catholic boarding and day secondary school for boys, under the care of the Marist Brothers. In 2019, enrolment is approximately 1,100 boys from Years 7 to 12.

 

About the role:

 

Reporting to the Development Manager, this is a new role within the College’s Advancement Team.

 

The Development Officer is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering fundraising initiatives undertaken by or through the SJC Advancement Office.

 

A high level of customer service, the management of financial spreadsheets and an energetic, thorough and attention-to-detail focus is essential.

 

About you:

 

The successful candidate will possess

  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Strong computer skills and experience using databases
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Interpersonal and diplomacy skills
  • Experience in managing financial spreadsheets and processes
  • An understanding of Advancement functions including Fundraising, Marketing, Alumni Relations and Stakeholder engagement
  • Negotiation, conflict management and interpersonal skills
